I've read reviews and forum comments that say something to the effect of, "It's just a rope. It's not worth that much money." Well, it's not just a rope and it is worth the extra dollars. I'll tell you why.
This rope really motivates you. I have an Everlast rope and simply can't use it. It's too short for me. Moreover, the rope doesn't feel right. But with the Buddy Lee Rope Aero Speed Hyperformance Jump rope I am actually learning to jump rope and enjoy it. I can make the rope just the right length for me. And I can adjust it so the swivel is comfortable. It makes jumping fun and easy. And this is one fast rope! And the WOW sound it makes reminds me of Bruce Lee when he was fighting. Really gives you a charge.
The rope is made for ultra speed (5-6 turns per second) and power jump rope training. The Aero Speed has 6'' handles made of T-Grade Aluminum for superior quality, durability and look. This is the rope to buy if you really want to jump fast and are into HIT. If you're just starting out or an average jumper, I suggest you use Buddy Lee's Master Rope first. Having said that, you won't be unhappy with this rope no matter what fitness level you're at or what you want to accomplish.

I do the P.A.C.E and 4-3-2-1 fitness workouts and find the jump rope perfect for the cardio portion. I'll tell you something else, there not a better workout than rope jumping --- at any age or any fitness level. When you do cardio, you need to get your heart rate up and really start breathing hard. Otherwise, you're not making your heart and lungs stronger. Nothing does that better and faster than jumping rope. And this rope is just about the best investment in your health you can make.

took a little while for the kinks in the rope
to smooth out from shipping, and the jump
rope needs to come with better instructions
on how to adjust the swivel for better
performance, other than these 2 things,
having fun learning the double under.

I bought this rope a few years ago thinking that for the price it would be unparalleled in quality. I like the handles, they seem fine, but the plastic rope that never seems to un-kink is worthless and should be re thought. I would recommend a less expensive better quality rope than this. I would probably give the handles 3 stars, but the rope only one.

I use this rope for warm-ups and also in WODs that require double-unders. I've used many other varieties and must say this one is by far one of the best. I love that fact that you can "custom fit" it to your height. I've seen several reviews claiming that the rope itself did not straighten out for months due to packaging but I had no problems with it. It did not become straight overnight but definitely did not take months. If it gets hot enough, i.e. being outside in the sun, the rope will become softer and then I would suggest hanging it to straighten out the bends. I would highly recommend this rope for anyone serious about jumping rope.
