 Collars not includedMay 18, 2010
Bought this as a gift for my wife and she seems to like the bar. However, as with many of the other reviewers on here, the bar arrived with no collars. The box clearly states on the package that it includes 1 bar and 2 collars yet they can't seem to put the collars into the box based on many of the reviews on here. I guess I'll have to contact the manufacturer as one of the other reviewers suggested and see if they'll send them to me. If not, I guess it will be going back.

I may just have gotten very lucky, but my bar arrived in a box that was in fairly good condition. When I opened the box and shook out its contents, the bar slid out along with 2 threaded collars. I was a little bit worried after reading the other reviews, but I had no problems.
I like this bar. I already own another curl bar in a slightly different shape which I always found uncomfortable for use in preacher curls. This new bar is a vast improvement for that exercise; The hand position feels much more natural.
The rubber handles are much more solid than I expected them to be. They do not seem as though they will warp or shift around, and they provide a nice firm grip.
The collars themselves are not my favorite. The bar comes with two rubber grommets - one on each side to go between the bar and the weights, but there are no additional grommets to go between the weights and the collars. This seems a little incomplete to me, but it is easily remedied.
All in all a good quality bar which feels very solid and accomplishes exactly what I need it to do.

I don't see collars included in the description - the reason collars aren't being sent is because they aren't included. This is actually somewhat common; I don't know of any serious bar that comes with them. The shape of this bar seems non-traditional for a curl bar, perhaps it'd be a good second bar if you want an alternative shape. I'm not really an expert on curl bars though, I'd be curious to see what other people think of the design.
Note: I didn't actually buy this bar, I'm just posting this because the description is a bit short and I wanted to clarify some things.

Browsing around for an ex-curl bar and came across this gem. I have had powerful results and and impressed. I have recommend this product to my friends.
