Best Fitness Multi-RackJul 20, 2010 I have had this rack for 1 month now. Aside from the packaging that could have been better, the rack is working out great! It was very easy to put together, with a minimum amount of tools. I would recommend this to anyone looking for this type of equipment
Cant be beat for the price!May 17, 2010 This rack is GREAT! I was suprised by how heavy duty the steel tubing is. I worked for 7 years in the industry and have seen racks 3 times the price not as sturdy as this one is. The only draw back is that the rick could be a little taller. Also the cross beam could be replaced by a flat plate that would be as sturdy and not get in the way. But those are minor problems that you will learn to work around. All in all definately a winner here! They have a great product at an awsome price!

AMAZON SENT TWO LEFT SUPPORTSJan 12, 2010 Rack came as a gift. Apparently I recieved a used one as there were major scratches on one support as well as scratches where the washer rubbed up against the same support. A washer and nut were missing as well. Minor stuff compared to the fact that AMAZON SENT TWO LEFT SUPPORTS. Sending back for refund.
A good bang for your buck!Oct 27, 2009 I had recently spent a bunch of money on more weights and two olympic bars so I was trying to find a good rack for a decent price. Most racks in the $100-150 range are usually rated at 250 lbs max. Once I found out that this one was rated at 400 lbs I decided to buy it. For $139 I wasn't getting my hopes up. Upon opening the box I was pleasantly surprised. The parts are made well, assembly was a breeze and the parts fit together perfectly.
After using it for about a month now for heavy overhead presses and squats I'm very pleased. All positions, including the top, are very sturdy.
The only feature some users might have a problem with is the fact that in order to squat you need to unrack the weight then step forward to clear the uprights. This is the opposite of the "normal" squatting process where you unrack the weight then step backwards to clear the uprights. I found this to not be an issue as it's really just reversing the normal process.
All in all this rack is a great buy and I highly recommend it.

A very nice performerJul 04, 2009 After researching online and in person for a decent bench press for the house, somewhere between amateur and professional, I decided on this rack and the accompanying bench, the Best Fitness BFFID10 FID Bench (see my review for the bench on its page).
First off, this was really easy to assemble. Two different sizes of bolts for two different holes. That was the most difficult part. I live alone and had it assembled by myself in less than 20 min. Everything you need is in the box, including two wrenches for attaching and tightening the bolts; no additional tools are required.
The rack feels extremely solid and sturdy. (Unfortunately, I can't find the weight limit anywhere, so I emailed the company and am awaiting a reply.) The adjustable lift-offs are easily removed and adjusted, as are the safeties. If you exercise alone, you definitely need a safety system like this one. If I rest the barbell on the safeties, it snugly touches my chest, which is perfect as that allows for full range and depth of motion. I can now max out without worrying about getting trapped or injuring myself.
For some reason, the measurements listed for this rack are incorrect. You need AT LEAST 46" of clearance between the collars of any barbell you are using. When I purchased my weights at a local store, I had to get an Olympic bar, because it was the only one that would fit. Some of the smaller 5' and 6' bars will not work with this rack, as the space between collars is too small. That will be a deal breaker for some folks, but for me it's cool because it means it's capable of handling the larger bars and weights.
If you are planning on using this rack with a bench other than the accompanying Best Fitness bench, be sure to take measurements first. The bar across the bottom of this rack could prevent other benches from working successfully. Be sure to consider that when looking for a bench.
All in all, five stars. Very simple, sturdy, efficient design, which is all you really seed with a press rack. One thing I like to have seen is a storage system for weight plates, perhaps across the back legs. It would be nice to have somewhere to store the bigger plates when not using them. Certainly not a deal breaker though.
