Back pain | Home » » » Body Solid GIB2 Inversion Boots | | | | | | | Description: | | Inversion Boots. Do you sometimes feel pounded, beaten and jarred? Inversion boots allow you to recover quickly from compression fatigue caused by jogging, aerobic training, stepping, bicycling and weight training. Inversion boots counteract the downward pull of gravity. Hanging in the inverted position brings instant relief to many forms of back pain and spasms associated with consistent downward gravitational pull on the spine, discs and muscles. Just a few minutes a day are sufficient to spread apart painful compressed discs. Back, neck and shoulder muscles are also stretched, further increasing flexibility and reducing pain. Recommended by doctors and used in hospital back clinics nationwide. Boots feature thick, comfortable, contoured support pads and have a heavy-duty single-action locking mechanism with built-in safety lever. Extra pads allow easy adjustment for all size users. | | | Features: | |

Good to Go!Feb 27, 2010 The boots do what they're made to do. I'm 270lbs and they hold me up just fine. I use them twice a week for intense 30min ab workout and thus far(3 weeks) all is good. I will say that they do pinch in the front so I must use them with boots instead of sneakers and the pads had to be re-glued(super glue worked like a charm). I think a big part of that is because I'm so heavy. All that said; Great product and I'm happy.

Very very painfulFeb 09, 2010 I found these boots to be extremely painful at the tops of my feet especially. It is crucial to be able to adjust the tightness of the boots, which this model lacks. Get the Teeter Hang Ups boots instead. Don't let the fact they are plastic deter you, they are incredibly safe and comfortable. They have straps to adjust tightness, the perfect type of foam, and are lightweight. I couldn't stand these boots for more than a min due to the severe pain, but with the Teeter Hang ups I can stay upside down for as long as I want. The only side effect is pins and needles, no pain.
Don't hesitate over the price.Feb 08, 2010 I thought the price too high but took a chance. The boots are extremely well crafted. I'm 225lbs and have no worry about them holding me up. The construction is more than sturdy and worth the price.
And, it works! I've done just a few minutes a day before and after a workout and my back feels great all day. Even felt a pull in my abs and upper leg muscles for an added stretch.
If you are my weight, it does cause minor discomfort on the feet but who cares. The pain relief is worth it.

DoItFeb 03, 2010 My son and I did the recommended installation test . The bar held our combined weight of 425+ lbs. IMHO: It is designed and manufactured by people who really know what they are doing!
At the time of this post I am age 59. *I did* discuss using this equipment with my physician *before* I purchased it. You need to work up to being able to do at least one pull up before using this type of device with your gravity boots. Otherwise, I seriously doubt that you will be able to get the boots up over your head and hooked to the bar. I am using it just a little each day. So far I experienced a little strain on my shoulder joints and muscles and skipped a day using it to make sure that the soreness was not of a lasting nature.
Held my fat ass at an inclineJan 30, 2010 I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort vs. price and how they work for me. I am impressed.
