The DF820 Squat Rack by Deltech Fitness. This super-duty Squat Rack is perfect for the serious weight lifter. The side frames are solid welded with the only bolt together assembly on the crossmembers. This design provides maximum strength with ease of assembly. The spotter bars and weight hooks are heavy-duty as well using 1" solid steel rod for extra support. The chin-up bar enables you to do many other exercises as well.

Best Squat rack I've usedApr 08, 2009
I have had The DF820 Power rack for 2 years. I use it 3 times a week. I have put this thing thru some serious abuse. It has stood up to every thing I can throw at it. I use it for squats, pull ups, and calf raise. I also use it for bench press, incline press decline bench press and military press by using the DF9500 Flat, Incline, Deline bench also by Deltech Fitness. The sides come solid welded so the only thing you have to bolt together are the inside cross members. This thing is very strong and stable. I lift a lot of heavy weight so I need a solid rack. This rack is a must for a serious lifter.

Just got this rack after searching around quite bit. I chose this one because it
--is made in the USA (that is supposed to not matter in a flat world but...dammit--it DOES)
--nice price
--3" centers
--no sissy fluff or gadgets, just a good steel tool for preventing injuries
--importantly, the sides are WELDED, not supported with bolt on cross pieces

It was rather easy to put together with a wrench and socket set. The thing is solid, square, and nicely finished--you can even leave the branding decals off if you are not into brand names. My only quibble is that the pull up bar has very sharp knurling, and should be more finely finished. And the R&L delivery guy was a moron.

Really, this is probably the one you are looking for if you want to get stronger.
