I really like this machine for squats and calf raises. It works great for me, but I am 6'6" 240lbs. My wife is much smaller 5'4" and she can't really use it. Her shoulders are to narrow such that the shoulder rests dig and hit her in uncomfortable places.

This is a very good squat machine. I got it to do only squats and calf raises but found I could do much more with it. I have done the following exercises: squats, front squats, caft raisses, stifted leg deadlifts, and single leg lunges.WOW!!!!!!!!
I think this is the best machine for home use and a personal traing studio.

This combination squat/calf machine is excellent in how it lets you perform the exercise. New & pro* squatters will find it helpful in that the angled foot pad ensures good form (hard to learn for newbies), & the machine allows good range of motion (especially good for pros who like to bend low). The calf stand is sturdy & allows satisfactory calf raises.

*Powertec should have made the arms that hold the weights longer to accommodate more plates as the athlete gets stronger. The machine seems sturdy enough to handle over 600 lbs, but the arms won't allow that without a) getting extensions (if Powertec sells them) or b) using 100 lb plates.
