Easter is around the corner and the hunt for Easter eggs are on.

Easter is April 20 and for anyone looking to enjoy food, music, games, face painting and more, hop on over for these upcoming Easter events in the Acadiana area. Check out the list of events below.

Lafayette Parish

EggstravaganZoo

Located at 5601 Hwy 90 E Broussard, celebrate easter with Zoosiana at their EggstravaganZoo event happening 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through April 19.

This festive event features daily events, such as an Easter-themed scavenger hunt, candy giveaways, photo opportunities, and new weekend-only activities, including live entertainment. Admission prices vary according to zoo admission fee.

Big Boy Toys & Hobbies

Big Boy Toys & Hobbies is celebrating Easter with an egg hunt and games at the stores 2930 Johnston St. Lafayette location on Saturday at 10 a.m. for an Easter Egg Hunt and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

This is a free event for ages 10 and under.

Parc De Oaks Easter egg hunt

Located at 3302 Moss St., Parc De Oaks on Sunday will have egg hunt sessions, food trucks, kids activities, face painting, and more. Activities start at 11 a.m. and there will be four sessions of egg hunts divided by age group.

Cajun Harley Davidson

Join the crew for its annual easter egg hunt. The event is slated for  11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cajun Harley-Davidson at 724 Interstate 10 South Frontage Road in Scott.

This is a free event and areas will be sectioned off by ages.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Moncus Park

Join Cumulus Media for a day of family fun at the 4th Annual Cumulus Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Hampton Toyota at Moncus Park.

Children ages 2-12 are invited to hunt for colorful eggs throughout Moncus Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday with special golden eggs containing prizes from Kart Ranch, Premier Lanes, We Rock the Spectrum, and more.

Youngsville Sports Complex Amphitheater

Our Savior’s Church and Bon Temps Grill present Easter Eggstravaganza, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Youngsville Amphitheater. Gates open at 9 a.m. with an Easter Egg Hunt, petting zoo, fun jumps, food trucks and more. Admission is free.

The Easter Egg Hunt will be divided by age groups (ages 2-12) including a safe egg hunt for children with special needs. Bags will be provided by Our Savior’s Church.

Tot Easter egg hunt

Bring your little one ages 2 and younger for an Easter celebration at Miko’s Playhouse at 5421 C Johnston Street on April 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be plenty of play time, an egg hunt designed just for tots, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. 

City-wide Easter egg hunt

There will be a city-wide Easter egg hunt on April 19 at Pa Davis Park, 120 Dawn St. Walkers to 5 years old are scheduled to hunt from from 10 a.m. to noon. Ages 6 to 12 years old are scheduled to hunt from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All special needs individuals are welcome.

St. Landry Parish

Opelousas Downtown Easter Market

Hop into Spring at the Opelousas Downtown Market's Bunny Hop Market.

Join in on the fun on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Easter Bunny visits, photos, delicious food, and unique finds from local vendors. This event is at 215 S Court St.

Southwest La Primary Health Care Center 

Southwest La Primary Health Care Center, Inc., 8762 Hwy. 182 in Opelousas, will have an Easter egg hunt from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday. There will be games, music, food and fun. For more information, call 337-942-2005.

St. Martin Parish

St. Francis of Assisi Church Annual Easter egg hunt

Children of all ages are welcome to an Easter egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20, at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 610 N. Main St. in Breaux Bridge. Bring a basket to collect goodies; refreshments will be served.
