The town of Livingston has never rocked like this before.
In a lineup led by Kid Rock and Nickelback, the two-day Rock The Country — A Festival For We The People descends on the Livingston Parish Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday.
It's a return trip to Louisiana for the music festival, which made a 2024 stop in Gonzales, also featuring Kid Rock. The Ascension Parish event drew more than 23,000 fans, with out-of-parish visitors exceeding 20,000.

Country rock artist Kid Rock headlines Rock the Country this weekend in Livingston. He'll perform at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
This year, the festival is traveling to 10 towns, with Livingston kicking it off.
“It's this simple, Rock The Country isn't just a music festival, it's a movement,” said Kid Rock. “It’s a place for hard-working, God-fearing patriots to gather as one and celebrate freedom, music and the party of the year.”
Kid Rock, 54, born Robert James Ritchie, began his career in the Detroit hip-hop scene. He transitioned to rap rock, followed by country rock. His breakthrough album, 1998's "Devil Without a Cause," sold 14 million copies. Among his biggest songs are "Cowboy" (1999), "Picture" (2002) and "All Summer Long" (2008).
“We’re really looking forward to hitting the road and visiting some amazing towns, especially in places we’ve never played before," said Nickelback bassist Michael Kroeger. "There’s something special about connecting with fans in these communities, and we’re ready to bring our best and truly rock the country. Can’t wait to see you all out there!”
Canadian rockers Nickelback's 2002 single "How You Remind Me" marked the band's mainstream breakthrough. Between its first album, "Curb," in 2006 and its most recent project, 2022's "Get Rollin,'" the band has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. Nickelback most popular singles include "Photograph," "Rockstar" and "Far Away."
In addition to the headliners, Rock the Country's lineup will feature Southern rock kings Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jo Dee Messina, Gavin Adcock, Treaty Oak Revival, Shenandoah, Mark Chesnutt, Deana Carter, Little Texas, Brianna Calhoun, Logan Crosby, Them Dirty Roses, Rehab, Afroman and DJ Slim McGraw.

Catch Lynyrd Skynyrd at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Rock the Country.
