Meeting to discuss Samuels Road rezoning
Metropolitan Councilman Brandon Noel will host a community meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 8, to discuss proposed plans for rezoning property along Samuels Road and the surrounding area. The meeting will take place at Zachary City Hall, 4700 Main St., Zachary.
The meeting will include representatives from CSRS, the Planning Commission and Noel. Residents, business owners and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion regarding the proposed changes.

High school art to be displayed
The Zachary High Student Art Exhibition is from 5-6 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the school Visual and Performing Arts Center. Pieces will be from Talented Art, painting and drawing, and ceramics classes.

The Zachary Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Zachary Business Expo on Sept. 9 at the Americana YMCA.

Eat pancakes set to jazz
The Zachary High and Northwestern Middle school jazz bands are offering a jazz and pancakes event May 10 in the Zachary High cafeteria. Tickets are $15 for all-you-can-eat pancakes. Tickets are at and must be purchased by Friday, May 9.
Change made to school calendar
The Zachary Community School District posted a revised 2024-25 school calendar. To compensate for the required instructional minutes lost due to the weather closure March 31, the last three early dismissal days will be converted to regular dismissal days (May 20-22). Visit  to see the calendar.

The city of Zachary encourages its utility customers to go paperless and offers two options to switch to paperless billing.

- Click on the "Bill Payment" tab on the right side of the home page. Enter your account number. If you don't know your account number, you will need to register online.
- Once in your account, click on "Profile" and change your notification preference to email.
