A 68-year-old woman was fatally beaten in her Baton Rouge home Monday night, police said.
Rose Davillier was found battered in her home in the 4100 block of White Sands Drive around 9:30 p.m., according to a Baton Rouge Police Department release.
She was pronounced dead at the scene after officers responded to a report of an unresponsive woman.
While investigating, BRPD detectives learned that a suspect had gained entry into Davillier's home before attacking her. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
