A shooting in Roseland left an 18-year-old dead, a teenager injured and three arrested in connection with the incident, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office. 

Just after midnight Wednesday, Roseland Police responded to a call about a shooting in the 63000 block of Commercial Street and found two victims with gunshot wounds, the Sheriff's Office, who is handling the investigation, said. Detectives believe the shooting stemmed from a "firearm transaction."

Police declared the 18-year-old male victim dead at the scene and a 17-year-old boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of his wounds, and later released.  

The deceased victim's identity was held as authorities notified his family. 

The three suspects arrested in the case are:

  • Keydrann Tate, 21, of Independence
  • Javion Kidd, 19, of Fluker
  • Unnamed minor, 16, of Independence 

All were booked on counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery, according to the Sheriff's Office.  

Tate turned himself in while the other two were arrested Wednesday while arriving to school, according to the Sheriff's office. 

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
