A man and a woman survived a plane crash in Tangipahoa after their small craft went down outside of Kentwood.
Both were found alert and alive, according to a Tangipahoa Sheriff's Office release from shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday.
The man's injuries were reportedly moderate to severe while the woman's were minor. Both have been transported to a local hospital.
Deputies were called by the pilot's neighbor, who said the plane was taking off from a private air strip.
Kentwood firefighters are working to secure the scene alongside deputies.
