Louisiana only collects sales tax on eight services. That list could expand to nearly 50 categories of services that would be subject to sales tax under a multipronged plan to rewrite the state tax code. The sales tax expansion is being considered during a that concludes Nov. 25.

Here's the proposed list of services:

8. Auto clubs (e.g. AAA)

10. Coin-operated machine services (e.g. car washes, lockers, shoe shines)
11. Computer software repair and maintenance
12. Timeshares
13. Dating services
14. Delivery services (e.g. DoorDash, InstaCart, Amazon Flex)
15. Weight loss and diet programs (e.g. Weight Watchers, Noom)
16. Property maintenance and repair, such as:
    1. Handyman services
    2. Home rehab (e.g. floor, carpet, cabinet or counter installation)
    3. House cleaning
    4. Window cleaning
    5. Pressure washing
    6. Pest control
    7. Pool maintenance
17. Information services (e.g. newsletters, research publications, financial guides)
18. Interior Decorating
19. Rideshare, taxi and transportation
20. Lawn care and landscaping
21. Linen rental
22. Lobbying
23. Machine and equipment operation
24. Mail and shipping
25. Marina fees
26. Personal training
27. Pet grooming
