A 3-year-old was injured in a shooting on North 26th Street near Laurel Street on Tuesday, according to Baton Rouge police.Â

The child was taken to a hospital in critical condition after the incident, which happened at around 6:40 p.m., according to a police spokesperson.Â
The investigation is ongoing.
