COLLEGE STATION, Texas — series-opening matchup with on Friday has been pushed back from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. due to inclement weather in the area.
This is the fifth LSU game during play in which the start time has been affected by the weather. Most recently, LSU sat through a three hour and 25-minute weather delay before its win on Friday over Tennessee.
LSU sophomore left-hander Kade Anderson is slated to start opposite Texas A&M left-hander Ryan Prager. Anderson allowed just two earned runs in 7â…“ innings last week against the Volunteers, while Lamkin surrendered just one earned run in 5â…“ innings against Texas.
The last time LSU faced Texas A&M in College Station was in 2023. The Tigers won that series after winning the opening two games.
LSU and Texas A&M will play Game 2 of this week's series on Saturday at 2 p.m. before concluding the three-game set on Sunday at 1 p.m.
