Colorado football coach has already mentioned the New Orleans Saints as one of the preferred destinations for his son, QB , in the NFL Draft, and has grabbed the NFL Hall of Famer's attention.
It was revealed Friday that Carr is dealing with a shoulder injury that could prevent him from getting on the field for the 2025 season. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Saints QB is considering whether to undergo surgery.
After news of the injury leaked to the public Friday, Sanders took notice on social media.
ESPN analyst Louis Riddick posted on X, "That 9th pick gonna be all kinds of interesting."
Sanders responded by quoting Riddick's tweet with the wide eyes emoji.

The Saints have the No. 9 pick in the draft, and the odds of Shedeur Sanders dropping that far appear to have increased in recent weeks.
Last month, Coach Prime told 'The Skip Bayless Show' that the the teams he'd like to see Shedeur play for.
"Shedeur has told me, he's talked to me intently about all the visits he's had with teams," Deion said on March 26. "So I know where his heart is. I know where he wants to go.
Sanders listed the Saints along with the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders.
"If it's any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback, I'm happy with it, man," Deion said. "because I know what he's going to do to the organization. I know what he's going to do."
